Project Manager - Operating Theatre Integration

Are you a hands-on Project Manager with a knack for rolling up your sleeves and diving into technical challenges? Do you thrive in complex environments like operating theatres and cath labs, where precision and coordination are key? We're looking for a proactive and highly organised professional who's comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities, from technical installs to coordinating across departments, ensuring the seamless integration of vital equipment in theatre.

In this role, you won't just be managing projects—you'll be at the heart of the action, overseeing the integration of advanced operating theatre systems, including lights, pendants, and OR1 solutions. This isn't a software-driven integration, but a hands-on, manual process that involves working closely with theatre staff and hospital departments. You'll need to be comfortable navigating technical challenges, including working with AV equipment like DVI, SDI, and HDMI cables, and coordinating the setup of camera systems within theatre environments.

About the Company:

Join a company that has been a trusted provider of high-quality surgical products in New Zealand for over three decades. They've recently established a new local subsidiary that's fully integrated into their global network, enhancing their ability to support customers with the latest technologies and training. This expansion ensures even better service and promotion of innovative techniques, all aimed at improving patient outcomes. Their range of products spans human and veterinary medicine, as well as industrial endoscopy, solidifying their reputation for excellence in the field.

What you'll bring:

  • A technical background, ideally in audio-visual systems, that enables you to understand and manage the equipment used in operating theatres.
  • Experience working in or alongside medical environments such as operating theatres or cath labs.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage the logistics of installs and ensure timely project completion.
  • Ability to communicate and align with hospitals, theatre staff, and technical teams to ensure a smooth integration process.
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable troubleshooting, problem-solving, and overseeing the practical elements of system setups.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact in the healthcare sector. If you're a problem-solver who enjoys variety in your work and understands the intricacies of hospital operating environments, we'd love to hear from you!
